The state of municipal road infrastructure has continued to worsen.

Residents have come forward in their numbers to lament the poor state of roads around Newcastle.

This serves to highlight the degradation over a period of years.

In some cases, roads in Newcastle are decades old.

On Tuesday morning, a Paradise resident expressed her annoyance at the state of Finnemore Street and Penguin Place, which are both riddled with potholes.

She said the matter was reported to the municipality many times.
