Sewer water stinks up Marula Drive in Ladysmith

The leak was fixed on Thursday, but unfortunately began again just 3 days after being repaired

There are many service delivery issues that Ladysmith residents have been complaining about, and one of these issues is raw sewage leaking in Marula Drive.

Sewer water has been leaking in the section of the road behind Milkwood Drive.

The leak was fixed on Thursday, but unfortunately began again just three days after being repaired.
Residents have been complaining since the sewage first started leaking.

Not only can you see the water running along the road, you also can’t help smelling the ghastly stench.

Cars pass through the water, shooting it up and further spreading the rotten odour.

Many worry that this is a health risk, especially since there are children in the area.

“It was just fixed and now it is leaking again. The smell is terrible. It must be a more serious issue than we think, or else the actual cause wasn’t found the first time around,” said one resident.
