Update: New “Houdini’s Hole” in Ladysmith

Houdini's Hole has appeared once again, this time in Farquhar Road

With the infamous Francis Road pothole now fixed, it seems that someone has found another pothole to take over the moniker of “Houdini’s Hole”.

The homemade sign can now be seen in Farquhar Road near a very deep pothole.

Local resident Frikkie Kruger, who made the sign and placed it in Francis Road, says he was not the one who moved it to its new location. “I didn’t know it had been moved. I thought the municipality took it once they had fixed the pothole in Francis Road. Someone else must have wanted to draw attention to the pothole in Farquhar Road.”

“It’s one way to bring attention to the maintenance needed in our town and maybe it will cause the municipality to fix more of the potholes,” one resident stated.
