Leaking and burst water pipes are not uncommon in town, and Harrismith Road residents say they have become used to dealing with this issue.
There have been three leaks in the road recently, two of which were fixed quickly. However, the third is proving to be the main problem.
“Water has been wasting for more than a month now. I think because it is underground, it is more difficult to fix,” said a resident when asked about the situation.
The water runs down the road, over sand, making life difficult for residents and motorists alike. Not to mention the amount of water that is being wasted on a daily basis.
