The council meeting to elect Dr Sandy Bedassi as the new Mayor of Endumeni has been adjourned.
This comes after Cllr Mahaye asked for legal opinion on the veracity of the Mayor being allowed to delegate his powers in a move that will see Dr Bedassi become the new Mayor.
COGTA officials, who are present at the meeting, say that it is all above board, however, Cllr Mahaye has insisted on getting legal opinion first.
