PREVIEW: Shaista Anoop serves up victory at culinary competition

Following a win at the Peppadew 2018 Young Chefs Culinary Challenge, Shaista Anoop jets off to Malaysia in July.

21-year-old Shaista Anoop is making her mark on the local culinary scene.

She won outright during the Peppadew 2018 Young Chefs Culinary Challenge this month.

As a reward, she jets off to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in July, on an all-expenses paid trip to the Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2018.

In this way, her passion and skill are taking her worldwide.

Shaista said the secret to her success was certainly practise.

Being in the kitchen every day honing her skills had prepared her well for competitive cooking.

“I’ve realised it’s a lot about skill, taking ingredients from simple to amazing.”
