The Blue Lions were made to work for their victory against a highly motivated DHS side

Sarel Cilliers took the bragging rights in the Derby Day Rugby main game clash against Dundee High. The Blue  Lions were made to work for their 17-12 victory and afterwards, the Dundee High rugby players were full of adrenalian as they knew they had come close to upsetting the favourites.

Sarel Cilliers coaches’, Dave van der Westhuizen and Steven Brown, congratulated DHS on a fine performance. With the half time score 7-7, it was the half time team talk that motivated the Blue Lions to score two tries in the second period to pin back DHS who scored a last gasp try to make the score 17-12.
