Illegal dumping is a problem in many areas of Ladysmith, with residents at their wits’ end and not knowing what to do to have this problem sorted out.
In Van Riebeeck Road, rubbish bags have been dumped in a pile that is simply left to grow as people continue to dump their refuse in the street.

“This was supposed to be a nice area where we as residents could sit and relax, but now it is a makeshift dumping ground. I wish the ‘powers that be’ would do something about the situation,” fumed one resident.
