Enyanyeni School commemorates Child Protection Week

Child Protection Week from May 27 - June 3.

Enyanyeni School was chosen by the Department of Social Development, Dundee District to celebrate Child Protection Week last week Friday. The department alongside Siphuthando NGO gave six deserving pupils school uniforms. The school principal Mrs Msimang thanked everyone who attended this function, she said “we are delighted to see government stakeholders this shows that we are also important, our school children come from poverty-stricken homes with unemployed parents which results in them walking long distances to school and not having proper school uniforms”.  We are in dire need of school buses even if it’s just one bus as our scholars, she continued.

There were song and dance and different government stakeholders delivered messages of hope, assurance and also put emphasises on protecting children 365 days a year.
