Residents of Meena Place are relieved that the sewer issues they have been experiencing have now been resolved.
Raw effluent had been running down the road from an overflowing manhole.
The issue was reported by residents and sometime between June 2 and 11, the leak was fixed by uThukela workers.

“Water and sewage issues are prevalent in other areas of town, but this shows that some effort is being made by the district municipality to solve the problems that community members are facing,” said one happy resident.
