Estcourt’s rabies vaccination clinics are well supported
At about 11am on Saturday in Drakensview, department official Dirang Ntshabele said that they had vaccinated more than 100 dogs since 8am that morning
Dog and cat owners heeded the call from the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to support the rabies vaccination clinics that were held in and around Estcourt during the past weeks.

Rabies is a deadly virus, which is completely preventable with a vaccination. Staff from the department set up their vaccine stations across parts of Estcourt since June 7 and areas like Colita, Papkuilsfontein, Forderville, the central business district, Brewitt Park and Drakensview were serviced.

Coupled with the statistics from their other visits, Mr Ntshabele agreed that locals had turned up in their numbers to support the clinics. At the time of going to print, the official statistics had not been passed on for publishing.
