Police clamp down on protesters in CBD

Police are in a no nonsense mood today as they deal with protesters in the CBD.

Police have been dispersing the mob whenever they gather, firing rubber bullets and arresting those who get out of hand.

The mob were running through Victoria Street earlier, destroying street signs and causing chaos.

Police chased them down to the taxi rank where more drama erupted.

Police opened fire with rubber bullets on the group who scattered into the field opposite the Catholic Church.
