Warning: Protest action on the R103, reports of vehicles being stoned

Reports have come in of protest action on the R103 between Ladysmith and Estcourt.

The protesters are evidently stoning vehicles that are travelling on the road near Chieveley.

Motorists are urged to avoid the R103 until the protesters have been removed.

It is believed that the protesters want to block off the road with stones and burning tyres.

Authorities are responding to the scene and traffic is being diverted.
