The smallest of actions often speak the loudest.
This was proven after young business management student, Ndima Lembede, offered his grandmother the greatest gift of all; the ability to see with a brand new pair of reading glasses

According to Real Estate Agent, Mohamed Seedat, he was invited to present a motivational speech before the exams at Qualitas Career Academy (Edu Centre) recently.
“The idea of the speech was to motivate the students to study for their exams, and then to inform them of what’s happening in the business industry. Topics included how to present themselves to prospective employers, and how to create their CVs with some job interview tips.”
One important aspect of Seedat’s presentations, was that he encouraged student-mentor interaction as being a positive undertaking.
“I encouraged the students to share their own life stories and experiences with me,” he said.
Seedat spoke of his own life experiences and the solutions he came up with to overcome the challenges he faced, and then offered practical life tips.
“Prior to the talk, I happened to mention it to my dear friend and optometrist, Faizel Mohammed, who then offered to sponsor a prize for the most interactive student. This was a free eye test and pair of glasses. During the talk, Ndima Lembeded stood out above the rest. He had that spark, and I decided to give him the prize. This is where it really got emotional for me. He was grateful for his prize, but asked if he could rather give his prize to his grandmother, because she was old and needed it more than he did.”
The process was put in place and on Saturday, June 30, Gogo Matilda Khulu finally received her brand new pair of glasses.
With tears in her eyes, she thanked Seedat and Faizel Mohammed for the special gift.
Ndima expressed his gratitude to Seedat and Mohammed for the opportunity to be able to help his grandmother see properly again.
“My granny is really old and she has not had proper reading glasses for over five years now. This made it extremely difficult for her to perform her daily duties, and even more difficult for her to read her Bible, which plays a very important part in her life. Now with her new glasses, specially made for her, she can open her Bible and read. I thank God for this as well, as I firmly believe that winning this prize was a blessing from Him,” Ndima said with a smile.
Mohammed said Ndima Lembede had humbled them by reminding them of the importance of thinking of others.
“Ndima is a selfless young man, who chose to give his grandmother the gift of sight. We were pleasantly surprised by this gesture and wanted to reward this gentleman with the gift of sight for himself, for his honourable decision. We wish Ndima all the best for his future endeavours, and hope his actions will encourage us all to serve others better. It is a privilege and honour to be associated with people of this calibre in our city, and we thank the Qualitas Career Academy and Mohamed Seedat for this opportunity. ”

Seedat has encouraged businesses to get involved and help young Ndima with a possible holiday job, which could help fuel his enthusiasm as he gets ready to enter the business world once he’s done with his studies.
