New SASSA cards now available at several post offices in KZN

The new gold SASSA card offers three free cash withdrawals per month from supermarkets and it can also be used to withdraw cash from all ATMs in South Africa.

In an official statement received from the South African Post Office (SAPO), it stated that the old SASSA card will expire at the end of September 2018.

“Beneficiaries who currently receive cash are strongly encouraged to get their new gold cards at a Post Office or SASSA office in KwaZulu-Natal.”

To get the new card, beneficiaries should present only their ID and old white SASSA card.

The new gold SASSA card blocks deductions and does not allow them to go through.
