66 people attended the blood clinic, 48 of them donated a lifesaving unit of blood

If it weren’t for the South African National Blood Service (SANBS), who knows what people would do to get blood when they needed it?

Thankfully, Estcourt has a committed team of nursing staff that come to town monthly and with the help of dedicated blood donors, they collect blood for those in need.

Johan Scheepers donated his 50th pint of blood.

This past Thursday a blood donor clinic was held at the Estcourt Town Hall from 11am to 6pm. 66 people attended the blood clinic, 48 of them donated a lifesaving unit of blood and one person was welcomed as a first time donor.

The next blood donor clinic will be held on August 9 at the same time and place. The SANBS and Blood Clinic Co-ordinator, Mr SM Dawoonarain thank all the donors who took the time to come and support their worthy cause.
