Good Samaritan clothes needy pupils

" We encourage anyone else who might have the same feeling to join hands with her in bringing smiles to the faces of the unfortunate kids in our schools. Her deed was a perfect definition of Ubuntu."

A Good Samaritan surprised learners and staff at Ebusi Combined School, Wasbank, when she arrived with bags of school uniforms, shoes and jerseys. Jabu Madlabane, a Deputy Director of Social Development in Glencoe, used her money to buy the much-needed clothing items for the six learners. Principal, JE Nala, the staff and the SGB of Ebusi Combined School, were overwhelmed when Ms Madlabane ‘just arrived at the school’.
“We are humbled that she went out of her way to do this good deed by purchasing these items. When we asked her what prompted her to do this, her answer was that it’s her way of thanking God for giving her a job whilst so many people out there are struggling to find employment,” Ms Nala said.
“As the school, we cannot overemphasise the importance of her Godly deed. We encourage anyone else who might have the same feeling to join hands with her in bringing smiles to the faces of the unfortunate kids in our schools. Her deed was a perfect definition of Ubuntu.”
