Lions Club plants its roots for Arbor Week
Luck and Club Treasurer, Lizè Smith were joined by learners who assisted with the planting of the trees.
To celebrate Arbor Week, the Newcastle Lions Club donated and planted yellowwood trees at Lincoln Heights Secondary School on September 5.

Lions Club President, Zarina Luck said Lions Clubs all around the world committed to protecting the environment for several decades, and members understood a small amount of effort would result in a big difference to the environment.
Luck and Club Treasurer, Lizè Smith were joined by learners who assisted with the planting of the trees.
Learner, Renae Kelly gave an informative presentation on the importance of planting trees during Arbor Week, after which teacher, Mrs R. Domun thanked the Lions Club for its generous gift in the trees.
