GALLERY: Power brunch for local women
Organisers said enjoyment was the purpose of the event.
Women settled in for a morning of enjoyment on Saturday morning.
Hundreds of guests arrived at Drakensberg Primary School for a Women’s Morning, where brunching and entertainment mingled beautifully.
Organisers said enjoyment was the purpose of the event.
Enza de Jager explained the event was hosted some years back but failed to fully get off the ground, until recently she was inspired to launch it again.
“We revived the event this year and asked Candiss Nell and Vicky-Anne Serfontein to come.”
The two songstresses agreed and things ‘fell together’.
Each of the 25 tables in the Drakensberg Primary School hall had a host, who assisted with organising of food and refreshments for their guests.
On the morning, the women arrived in their hundreds.
Proceedings got underway through a performance by the Carpe Diem dancers, followed by scripture reading and prayer by the head girl and deputy head girl of Drakensberg Primary.
Thereafter the women took a brunch break.
Afterwards, they were held in rapt attention by Nell and Serfontein, who performed some of their most motivational and evocative songs.
