A tragic scene awaited paramedics this morning.

Three trucks collided on the R103 near Nottingham Road.

Closer inspection of the collision scene revealed that two people from one of the trucks had died.

One occupant of another truck was left in a serious condition. The injured patient was treated on scene by an Advanced Life Support paramedic and transported by another private ambulance service to hospital for further treatment,” said Netcare Limited Media Liaison Officer Shawn Herbst.
