The renowned DJ hosts I love Mornings with Mzokoloko between 6am and 9am on Gagasi FM on weekdays.

“I’ve always wanted to be a radio presenter. I love radio because it allows you to communicate with a vast number of people, which also stimulates my mind to create a verbal picture for a listener,” said Mzo-koloko.

He advises aspiring radio personalities to learn everything important from their favourite DJ’s but discard what they don’t need and add what is uniquely their own.

He believes that pushing yourself can make you just as successful or even more successful as someone with a better background than you.

“I come from a polygamous setup. My dad had four wives and I used to work as a cleaner at a hair salon.

Over the years I have learned to always try and be the best version of me no matter what the circumstance. My all time hero is some guy in the mirror.

He’s always there when I need him, all I need to do is be in front of a mirror – any mirror and he’s there!” he concluded.

Minenhle Ximba is 16 years old and believes it is important to donate blood.
Jan Vermaak travelled from Northern Cape to visit family in Newcastle and decided to donate blood too.
