On December 2, the senior citizens club members of Forderville and Colita together with some well-wishers went to Durban on an excursion.

The excursion was organised by Mrs RD Peerbhay of Estcourt and Mrs Preggy Pillay of Pietermaritzburg. The bus carried 61 passengers, which also included a few children.

The group visited Ushaka Marine World and Sun Coast, both popular venues. A few members went on the riskha bus trip around central Durban. Some, especially the women, sneaked off to the beach to wet their feet.

The entire day turned out from a fair fine to a fine fare, so much so that many, once again the women, were hesitant to leave Durban.

The reason for this was not difficult to fathom as at least five of them were on a winning streak. They smiled all the way back to Estcourt.

If a consensus was taken for a return trip to Durban, all the casino fans would have responded favourably. Do you blame them? The weather? Well, it’s Durban, couldn’t be better.

The organisers and passengers, especially the senior citizens, wish to thank all who assisted to make this excursion a memorable one. A special thank you to the bus driver who did an excellent job.
