‘Gogos’ gear up for Christmas gifts from Vryheid business
Pastor Phakathi pointed out the need for assistance, especially at this time of year.
LAST Christmas, the staff of a local gearbox centre headed out to Lakeside with packets of sweets for the children in an effort to sweeten up the festive season for those less fortunate.

This year, with the help and advice of Pastor Abshai Phakathi, they turned their attention to a cause just as special, the old age home in Bhekuzulu. Pastor Phakathi pointed out the need for assistance, especially at this time of year.

“We bought combos of veggies and shared it among the ‘gogos’ at the old age home,” writes Amanda Vergottini. “It was such an overwhelming experience.”

Business owner, Martyn Beän, explains that he would like to give more every year and reach out to the community more, as well as getting other companies more involved in helping our very own people of Vryheid.
