The day began with a walk through the central business district (CBD). Police spoke to locals about the different criminal activities to look out for and pamphlets were distributed.
Thereafter the delegation returned to the Estcourt police station where community members had gathered at the hall.

“Stakeholders took turns addressing the community about different types of crimes,” explained police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi.
Those who were present were then treated to an early Christmas present. 40 families received food parcels; this was made possible by Chinese business people.
“Provincial Junior Commander, Lwandle Dladla, thanked both Mr Wu Cheng Jian and Mr Huojin Chen for reaching out a helping hand to support those families who cannot help themselves.
“The families were very happy and they thanked the Provincial Junior Commissioner, Station Commander Colonel Kheswa and the Chinese businessmen who donated food parcels to them,” commented Captain Nyathi.
