Making a splash to raise cash

Fighting polio and having fun

100 participants got into the pool to fight Polio last week when the Rotary Club hosted their annual Swimarathon.

The aim of the event was to raise funds to eradicate Polio worldwide. Currently, only two countries have cases of Polio reported.

This year’s edition of the Swimarathon raised R3 500 for the cause as young and old showed their support by swimming.

The Rotary Club of Dundee thanked all members of the public who participated as well as Dundee High for the use of their pool and the Dundee High Interactors and pupils who supported the day.
