UPDATE: Search for missing man in Weenen river reaches fifth day

The police Air Wing will be joining the search for the missing man

A tireless search for a man who went missing when his vehicle was swept away in a low lying bridge in Weenen’s Mngwenya area is continuing.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan confirmed this morning that police divers have been unsuccessful in their search since the incident occurred on February 25.

“The search is continuing. The South African Police Air Wing from Durban will be joining in the search today,” said W/O Khan.

The man’s vehicle was recovered on Tuesday.
