As he heads into retirement, NKZN staff said they will miss his tenacity and passion for print.

Last week marked the end of George Meyer’s tenure as Branch Manager of Northern KZN Caxton.

As he heads into retirement, NKZN staff said they will miss his tenacity and passion for print.

George began his illustrious career at Caxton decades ago, and worked his way up the ranks with a combination of intellect and leadership skills.

He fondly remembers the ‘good old days’ of plating newspapers by hand, and was involved in every step of the print process.

In 2014, George won the prestigious title of Branch Manager of the Year at the annual Caxton Excellence Awards – a true testament to his ability as a leader and boss. To this day, his enthusiasm for print has not waned.

Staff of the Newcastle Advertiser, Ladysmith Gazette, Northern Natal Courier, Vryheid Herald, Estcourt and Midland News and NKZN Get It wishes him all the best in his retirement, with many healthy and happy years ahead.
We also thank him for his years of invaluable service and sound advice.
