Newcastle Mayor granted bail on murder charges
The Madadeni Magistrate's Court made the announcement shortly after 10.15am.
Mayor of Newcastle Municipality, Cllr. Ntuthuko Mahlaba has been granted bail of R20 000 following a bail application made by his lawyer this morning when he appeared in court.
The Madadeni Magistrate’s Court made the announcement shortly after 10.15am.
Mahlaba is allegedly linked to the murder of Wandile “Manqasha” Ngobeni, a former KZN ANCYL official.
The condition of his bail includes reporting to the Newcastle Police Station weekly, until his next court appearance which will be at the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on April 30.
