Fallen nurses honoured at memorial service
The event was organised by the Ladysmith Retired Nurses Guild
A memorial service was held on Tuesday last week (April 2) at the Methodist Church for nurses who have passed away over the years in the Ladysmith area. A large crowd of ‘Florence Nightingales’ gathered that morning to remember their fallen colleagues.
The event was organised by the Ladysmith Retired Nurses Guild. The programme started with a prayer, followed by speeches, messages of support and songs.

Candles were also lit in remembrance of those who devoted their lives to taking care of people in need of medical assistance. After the programme, the nurses enjoyed a scrumptious lunch and had time to mingle with one another.
