1000 Mandrax tablets discovered in massive drug bust
Two men involved in a drug operation in Newcastle were apprehended last night.
A joint operations team intercepted two suspects, in possession of 1000 Mandrax tablets, last night.
According to a reliable source, members of the team received a tip-off about drugs en route to Newcastle from Johannesburg, and set up an ambush.
The suspects’ vehicle was then stopped at the R34 entrance to Newcastle.
Mandrax tablets were found in the vehicle, with an estimated street value of R80,000, and the suspects were arrested.
