A newborn baby was airlifted from a hospital in Ladysmith yesterday (April 17).
A chopper landed on the Ladysmith High School (LHS) sports field in the afternoon while children were busy with their sports training.
The training stopped for a short period of time until the chopper flew off with the sick baby on board.

An ambulance service assisted with transporting the baby from hospital to the school field.
