Estcourt Home Affairs extends hours in voters’ favour

The Home Affairs office will be opened until 7pm today and 9pm on May 8

The Department of Home Affairs will extend the operational hours of the Estcourt office to assist eligible voters to collect identity documents or to apply for IDs or temporary identity certificates.

The office at 124 Alexandra Street will be open from 8am to 7pm on May 7 and from 7am to 9pm on Election Day (May 8.)

In KwaZulu-Natal the department has 55 634 uncollected smart IDs making it the second highest in the country after Gauteng.

Only voters who can present a form of identification will be allowed to cast their vote in the National and Provincial Election.
