Rita Meyer is Dundee’s own bowling master

The Fedauto Trips tournament will take place in Newcastle this coming Saturday.

Dundee Bowls Club’s very own Rita Meyer has become a bowling master.

She won the female title during the KwaZulu-Natal Country Bowls (KZNCB) Masters tournament on May 4 and 5, held at The Nest Bowling Club in the Drakensberg.

Newcastle’s Stephen Shaw took the men’s title.

Rita advanced to the final after winning her section, and in the last match of the weekend, beat Ladysmith’s Fran Baleri by 21 points to 16.

Winter Knights
Round Table Winter Knights is hotting up, with two more games played this past Thursday. The leader board is as follows:

Section 1: Cherrybums 8 +56; Langfontein 8 +32; Charles Wade 6 +32. Section 2: Joff’s Warriors 7 +19; Tristar 6 +25; BB Transport 6 -1.

The SPCA will be making food this week, so please come down and support them.

The Fedauto Trips tournament will take place in Newcastle on Saturday, and all teams entered into this competition are wished good bowling.

Interzone
Congratulations to the members, who were selected to play in the Inter Zone competition in Newcastle over the weekend of May 25 and 26.
