Glamorous grans strut their stuff on the ramp

Organiser, Nirmala Neerahoo said it was a wonderful event and ensured the seniors 'were kept active'.

The grandmothers of the Endumeni Senior Citizens Group have determined just who their glam queen is.

During a fun event at Glenridge Hall on Workers’ Day (May 1), family and friends supported the grans during two pageants, for those of ages 60 to 73 for those older than 73.

In the younger category, Saras Sarjoo was crowned Queen, plus princesses, Annie Lallo (first) and Auntie Anoop (second).

The Queen in the older group was Auntie Thotha, with Ganas Neerahoo and Leela Ramsaroop the first and second princess respectively.

Guests were also treated to dancing and singing by talented performers.

Organiser, Nirmala Neerahoo said it was a wonderful event and thanked sponsors for their assistance: Cherose Sounds, Maharaj Decor, Nerina Deena, judges and all others involved.
