Hazardous potholes mark various roads
The municipal pothole repair plan has still not been sent to the Estcourt News as of September 2018

The worsening conditions of roads in and around Estcourt are one of the most talked about service delivery concerns for locals.

Widening, deep and hazardous potholes leave their mark on majority of the residential and central business district (CBD) streets. Roads in the outer-lying industrial area are also pitted with potholes.
Besides the potholes, several roads surfaces have been dug for water pipe repairs and are thereafter not filled or repaired … some for years. An example of this is the deep hole opposite Drakensview Primary School, which has not been cordoned off and poses a hazard to the pedestrians.
The Estcourt News regularly receives calls and letters from residents, wanting to enquire from the local municipality about the progress of road repairs.
Unfortunately, dozens of inquiries to Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality have gone unanswered. On September 7, 2018, the first email enquiring about the pothole repair plan as well as specific road repairs was sent.
Since then repeated and regular attempts to secure a response have been unsuccessful.
