Nurse retires after 18 years of service
Sister Dawn served the Department of Health for over 18 years, and has been hailed as a true inspiration by her colleagues.

Colleagues and friends celebrated the retirement of Sister Dawn Khumalo in style on June 22, at Ilawu Guest Lodge.
Sister Dawn served the Department of Health for over 18 years, and has been hailed as a true inspiration by her colleagues.
She worked at the Madadeni Clinic 7, specialising and serving as a champion at HIV and TB departments at the clinic. Her colleague, Nokuthula Mkhize, said it was an honour working with her.
“There is a saying, ‘we retire to be hired’, which means we can retire at our workplaces but continue to serve in our communities, and this particularly rings true to Sister Dawn. I have no doubt she will continue caring for those around her. It has been an absolute joy and honour to work with such a good human being, I have learnt more than I had anticipated from her and I am grateful for all the lessons she has imparted on me. We wish her all the best for the future,” she concluded.
