They stopped at the children’s ward (ward 1) and the maternity ward (wards 4a and 4b.) The Mooi River Textile Factory kindly sponsored 50 clothing packs.

20 sets of pants and shirts were distributed to the children while the remaining 30 packs contained jumpers for the new-born babies.

“The donation was welcomed, the mothers and children were excited, many of them said this donation came just in time for winter,” explained Ukhahlamba Community Radio’s marketing manager Mr Nene.
He added that: “We considered the colder days approaching. Also while it was still Youth Month, we thought it would be nice to help the upcoming youth and also support some of the single mothers.”
Ukhahlamba wished to thank all those who helped make the day possible.
