Former deputy mayor of Ladysmith gets her degree and says “knowledge is power”

Congratulations to Cllr Sindiswa Mfusi on obtaining her Bachelor of Administration degree under the faculty of Economic & Management Science from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Cllr Mfusi is the former deputy mayor of Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality before it changed its name to Alfred Duma Local Municipality.
She now serves as a PR councillor under Alfred Duma Local Municipality.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Durban ICC on June 21.
According to her peers, Cllr Mfusi is an exceptional example that education can open the doors to greener pastures.
“Knowledge is power and education gives us an understanding of the world. It also offers us much greater opportunities to use that knowledge wisely, so people should regard education as an investment that pays the best interest,” said the former deputy mayor of Ladysmith.
This mother of two children and grandmother of four has a saying that goes: “Education has no age limit.”
In addition to her degree, Cllr Mfusi also has a certificate in Economic Development from the University of the Western Cape, a diploma in Public Relations obtained at Allenby, a diploma in Public Management from a TVET college, and a diploma in Gender and Labour Studies obtained from Workers College.
