Dozens of pedestrians pass by Pylon Avenue daily.

A ‘death trap hole’, as one resident describes it, is lying neglected for weeks.

“It has a few pieces of warning tape around it but that will not stop a child or an animal falling in and not being able to get out,” said a resident.

He further explained that the deep hole is on a open sewer line.

“That alone is a huge hazard and it’s been like that for weeks that I know of, probably longer, so there’s very little interest being paid to this potential disaster by anyone,” added the resident.
