Residents stepped into a wonderland at a Cuppa For CANSA at Style & Grace Conference Centre on Saturday afternoon.

Guests were invited ‘by order of the Queen of Hearts’ to a land of ‘wonders wild and new’.

They followed the White Rabbit’s stones to the venue, where they enjoyed a cup of tea and a spread of delectable cakes and snacks, but the serious message of the day was clear.

Refreshments were served with a splash of knowledge and a slice of education.

The event was organised by Newcastle CANSA Purple Stars – headed by volunteer leader, Mona Maharaj – and featured entertainment items, talks by guest speakers and plenty of fun games for the whole family.
