The Ichthus Grade 1 and 2 learners battled it out for the past three weeks on the mini-cricket pitch during the annual Mini-Cricket Fun Tournament.
The enthusiastic mini-cricketers were in four teams, namely the Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Bulls. Many runs were run and wickets taken, but one thing is for sure, all the children who participated in this fun tournament ended their over with huge smiles.
Congratulations to the Stormers team on its win: Syambonga Gumede, Nkazimulo Selepe, Anébelle Myburgh, Daniella Mukoka, Alutha Radebe, Cassey Long, Khwezi Kheswa, Izibongo Phakathi, Simphiwe Ncube, Shamarie Snyman and Leah Singh.
Prizes were awarded to the learners in the following categories:
Girl who took the most wickets in the tournament – Shamarie Snyman; boy who took the most wickets in the tournament – Syambonga Gumede; girl who made the most runs in the tournament – Akhona Mhlungu; boy who made the most runs in the tournament – Yishay Laloo.
Well done to all the mini-cricket players who participated in this Fun Tournament – you are all winners.
