The Grade 7 and 8 learners at Riverdale Combined School recently hosted a Career Day.
The Senior Phase learners got to role play their future careers, which was lots of fun.

The aim of the day was to give the children the required career guidance, while also mentioning the various career opportunities available to them.
Representatives from the Health, Social Development and Tourism departments, as well as wild life representatives, Ladysmith Boston College and educators from neighbouring schools took part in the programme.
The day was fun and informative, with each learner leaving school with more insight than prior to the event. Mrs Gamede would like to send special thanks to Mrs Zandile Mfusi (the Life Orientation teacher who planned the day),
Ward Inspector Miss Thwala, and Life Orientation and Life Skills subject advisor Mrs Dladla.
“Thanks also go to the Riverdale staff, the principal and governing body. Please keep up the team spirit,” she added.
