Spring walk and teddy bear’s picnic at Edukidz

The learners made flowers during their creative lesson to take home

Spring is in the air and for the Edukidz learners, this means a whole lot of fun in the sun. The little ones were taught about the meaning of spring and were educated about new birth in nature with a walk that included looking in-depth at various plants.

They discussed the plants’ structure, scent and purpose. Some were prickly, some were furry and others grew brightly-coloured flowers. This led to making flowers during their creative lesson to take home.

Teddy visited Edukidz and read a classic children’s story about The Teddy Bear’s Picnic.

The children were riveted and thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing along to the CD. Another art activity included making a furry-tummy teddy. It certainly was a fun-filled and busy time.

A relaxing, social picnic ended the morning, after which the learners went home with their spring creations.
