Parents to stage peaceful walk against CSE

A peaceful walk has been planned for February 13 in Dundee, where parents and concerned citizens can stand and oppose the implementation of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) lesson plans.

The walk will coincide with countrywide action, where people from all walks of life will demand that the Department of Basic Education remove CSE and ‘sex ed’ from public schools in South Africa.
Many communities across the country have mobilised to host a walk in their areas.

Organisers are encouraging everyone to support the initiative and take a stand in protecting the children.
“If you have children, join us; if you don’t have children but understand that protecting the children of SA is important, join us too. You don’t have to be a parent to support this initiative, you just have to care about our children and our country,” said one of the organisers of the walk planned for Dundee.

While plans are in place to stage the peaceful walk in Dundee in conjunction with the rest of the country on February 13, it had not been approved at the time of going to print.

Interested community members however, are asked to send the word ‘Endumeni’ to 066 522 3666 to be added to the #leaveourkidsalone WhatsApp group, where they will be updated on the latest news regarding CSE and the planned walk.

Concerned parents will also be at the Boulevard Centre on Saturday, February 8 from 10am to 2pm where they will be operating an information table. They will be handing out pamphlets and educating people on what CSE is and why they’re opposing it.
