18 areas will be without electricity due to emergency repairs
Please note that the repairs are compulsory 'in a bid to prevent a total blackout'.
Please be advised there will be a power outage on Sunday (February 16) between 5am to 2pm, due to emergency repairs on the 132kv communication lines.
A message said to have been sent by the Electrical Department, was forwarded to residents by Councillor, Bertie Meiring.
“We would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. We urge our residents to make necessary preparations the day before the power outage. Please note that the repairs are compulsory in a bid to prevent a total blackout,” read the message.
The following areas will reportedly be affected:

3. Amiel Park
4. Sunnyridge
5. Pioneer Park
6. Schuinshoogte
7. Aviary Hill
8. Hutten Heights
9. Barry Hertzog Park
10. Amajuba Park
11. Ncandu Park
12. CBD
13. Suryaville
14. Fernwood
15. Sunset View
16. Fairleigh
17. Lenville
UPDATE: Signal Hill has been added to the list, according to Cllr Meiring.
