Burnt body found after fire guts tavern in Lyell Street

The Ladysmith Fire Department, Public Safety and police were at the scene

A dead body was found after a fire gutted a tavern in Lyell Street this morning (February 26).

In a Facebook Live earlier today, we said there were no injuries. The body was found only after firefighters had extinguished the blaze.

The Ladysmith Fire Department, Public Safety and police were on scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
