Illegal dumping is an eyesore at cemetery entrance

Garden refuse is being dumped at the entrance to the cemetery in Dahlia Road

The condition of the cemetery in Forderville has been brought under the spotlight by a local resident.

“The cemetery is a mess!” exclaimed the resident after a visit over the weekend. Heaps of garden waste is dumped at the entrance, obscuring part of the road.

“This is supposed to be a place of respect, but it looks like some of the people in this town don’t understand that. The entrance looks like a dumpsite,” said the angry man.

The resident places blame on the shoulders of locals.

“The municipality does not dump rubbish there; it’s the people who live in the area. Don’t they even have respect for the dead?” he asked.
