This incident is believed to be related to the march that is planned to take place in Ladysmith this morning (February 26). Protesters are demanding the immediate removal of Mayor Vincent Madlala.

According to uThukela, the Ezakheni Plant is currently not operational.

As a result, this will compromise water supply to the following areas: Ezakheni, Old Ladysmith, Steadville, Tsakane, St Chad’s, Danskraal and other areas fed from Ezakheni.
