
Water supply has been restored to many affected areas in Ladysmith.
Some areas have been without water for days due to the protest aimed at removing the mayor of Ladysmith.
MEC for Transport, Community Safety & Liaison Bheki Ntuli held meetings yesterday (February 29) in the uThukela District Municipal Boardroom to discuss the protest and the resulting water issues.

The Ezakheni Bulk Water Treatment Plant was restarted yesterday and water began pumping into the reservoirs once again. Now taps have running water again, much to the delight of those who have been affected.
Most businesses are opening in the CBD for now, and there have been no reports of road closures today (March 1).
