[NOTICE] Load-shedding to only affect ‘big businesses’ – for now

"It is envisaged load-shedding may continue to be implemented until Thursday."

The business sector is the only area expected to be affected by load-shedding today.

Eskom yesterday announced it would be implementing Stage 1 load-shedding between 9am and 11pm today (March 9).

“It is envisaged load-shedding may continue to be implemented until Thursday.”

Explaining the situation, DA Councillor, Bertie Meiring stated the municipality would only be asking big companies to scale down or ‘shed the load’ in terms of their electricity usage.

Any changes to the situation or an escalation in the stage of load-shedding will be communicated accordingly.
